Congratulations and thank you to the Home and School Group on organising this great event. The hall looked amazing, the match had the correct result and the music was suitably loud. Everyone had a great night and lots of fun. Well done everyone.

North Otago Cross Country
Congratulations to all the children who competed this afternoon at the North Otago event. They competed well and did a great job, running over paddocks, up hills and jumping over fences. Exhausting!!!

Early morning
After a 5.30am start this morning as our adventurers made their way to the ski field, a rainbow appeared over the mountains. What a beautiful sight. The rest of the day was just as spectacular and at the end of the day everyone was happy and tired - just how it should be. Thank you to our wonderful teachers and to the Parents who gave up their time to help.

Cross Country
Congratulations to all of the kids who ran in the cross country today. We were very proud of you all. It was great to see you all supporting each other, cheering each other on and even having some of the older kids running with the New Entrants who were a wee bit nervous. You definitely brought our school motto to life "Whaia te iti Kahurangi - Be the best that you can be" Thank you to all the whanau who came along to show their support, and for all the positive feedback and suggestions for next time - much appreciated. Have a well deserved rest tonight, ready for an early start to the skate day tomorrow.

Winter Wonderland
If the school can't go to the snow, the snow comes to the school. Our ski trip may have been postponed, but the kids had a ball this morning playing in the snow and making snowballs. Being Principal did not save me from a snowball attack at morning tea. I still have not dried out. The school looked amazing.
In true "Four Seasons In One Day" style, by 2pm the sun was shining! What a crazy day! Lots of children got picked up and taken home to warm fires and hot chocolate and the children who remained had fun sharing jump jam dance moves and playing games.
Lets hope the weekend is a bit more settled.
