Skate Day number one

What a great day we all had in Tekapo this week. The weather was perfect and the children had a ball. Thank you to everyone for their support on the day and for all the positive comments about the trip.

Term 3 begins

Welcome back everyone, after what was hopefully a good break. It was nice to see everyone looking so refreshed and looking forward to an exciting term. This term we start Science Fair which is always lots of fun and packed full of new learning. Maths focuses on shapes, co-ordinates and multiplication and division. We are looking at descriptive words alive writing and poetry in English, and numbers and time in Maori. Our Arts focus this term is music so the children can explore creating music and recording using different notation. Sports will include gym festival, t-ball and cross country. As you can see, term 3 is gearing up to be a fun filled with lots of exciting learning opportunities.
On top of all that we have ski and skate days, Room 5 camp and Variety Show! Wow! Our Ardgowan kids are very lucky!

HANGI DAY CELEBRATIONS

The teachers all had an early start today to light the hangi fire at 6am and prepare the food for the lunch.
The children were treated to lots of fun activities and had a great time thanks to a lot of hard work from the teachers, and the Parent helpers under the guidance of Ms Foster.
A wonderful day, despite a few early showers.
