SPEECH FINALISTS REALLY SHINE

I was so proud of our 4 finalists as they took to the stage last night at the W.R.S.N. speech finals. They all did an amazing job and were all winners in my eyes. They delivered their speeches with confidence, great expression and clarity and enjoyed the challenge. Special mention also to our 2 wonderful hosts - they ran the evening with style and showed what great leaders we have at ARDGOWAN SCHOOL. Another great opportunity that we can offer our Y7/8 kids to lead and step up. Special mention for our first place getter and our highly commended competitors. Way to go guys!

Good luck to our speech finalists as they enter the WRSN competition against 10 other rural schools on Wednesday evening at WBHS. I am very proud of them already and am looking forward to seeing them shine.

YEAR 7/8 SPECIAL PROGRAMME

Our special programme for our Y7/8's goes from strength to strength. Today they were involved in a St John first aid course and learnt the importance of the DRS ABC response rules as well as practicing CPR.
Our special programme involves lots of activities including careers development, life skills, sports and giving back to the community. We meet up regularly with the other rural schools as well and provide opportunities to develop strong bonds with other kids before High School. It is one of the things that keep Ardgowan School the special place that it is.

Congratulations to all the students for their wonderful performance at speeches. I was very proud of all of them and it just reinforced what a wonderful school we have in Ardgowan. Thank you to all the families for supporting their kids and to the teachers for all their work in preparing them.
